Frequently Asked Questions
What does it mean to have an individual lease?
Individual leasing means that each person is only responsible for their portion of the unit lease or bed space. If your roommate ends up not coming back for the spring semester, you’re not responsible for their payment.
What is included in the rent?
The Outpost rent includes: Water, sewer, trash, cable with HBO, WIFI access, access to all of The Outpost amenities, and a wonderful staff that is here to help you!
Do you have a roommate matching system?
Yes, if you don’t have anybody in mind that you would like to live with let us match you up with somebody! There is a Roommate Matching Sheet that you can fill out to let us know more about what you’re looking for in a roommate. Then, we will spend weeks in the summer figuring out the best match for you based on that information.
When is my rent due?
Rent is broken into twelve month installments. The first installment is due on or before August 1, with the following eleven installments due on the first of every consecutive month.
How do I pay my rent?
There are several ways that you can pay your rent. You can:
- Pay with a personal check, money order, or cashier’s check.
- Pay with a credit card or checking account online through Rent Payment.
Do you allow pets?
Yes, we are very pet friendly! We know having a pet is a great advantage for our residents! However, we do have a few restrictions. If you would like to discuss this further, please give us a call or come by the clubhouse.
Is there insurance coverage in the event of a fire, theft or natural causes? Does my lease provide coverage for my belongings?
The Outpost insurance will not cover your personal belongings. We suggest getting renter’s insurance for this reason. It is generally inexpensive and will cover your personal belongings if something were to happen.
What if I need to break my lease or don't return for the spring semester?
The Outpost lease is binding and cannot be broken. If you cannot live at The Outpost after signing your lease, you will need to sublease. Please call the leasing office for information on subleasing.
